This pages contains various notes that's useful at least for the author to be able to look up.

MOSFET N-Channel 2N7000 as a switch

Warning: MOSFET are ESD sensitive - be careful.

Source (1) connected to ground.
Gate (2) to signal, plus 10K resistor pull-down to ground.
Drain (3) to ground of device switched on/off.

2N7000 in TO92.
Ground should be shared between device and signal.

Note: Pull-down 10K works for 2N7000, may need to be different for other cases.
